Mr. Rico Williams is a native of  Montgomery, AL. In 2007 he was offered a music scholarship to attend Alabama A&M University and decided to make Madison County his home after graduation. Mr. Williams obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Elementary Education. He received his certification in Instructional Leadership from Samford University. Mr. Williams has worked in education for over 10 years and has experience in various elementary grade levels. Two of those years he served as Assistant Principal at Madison Cross Roads Elementary.

Mr. Williams stated, “It has always been a dream to follow my 5th graders from MXR to Sparkman Middle as a teacher. I am extremely blessed to be given the opportunity to serve the SMS community as one of the Assistant Principals. I am a dedicated lifelong learner who has a passion to serve. My goal is to serve families by establishing positive relationships with all students, parents, teachers, and community.”

Mr. Williams is an active member of St. Luke Christian Church, where he is a member of the praise team and choir. He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America as well as Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He enjoys singing, going to church, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
