Dr. Kellen Conaway Sr., Principal

I want to say Happy New Year to each of you. I am honored to be the Principal of Sparkman Middle School. This year marks my sixteenth year in education. For the first seven years of my career, I served as a social science teacher and a school counselor at the elementary and middle school levels. Furthering my career in education, I worked as an assistant principal for three years before becoming a principal. I am starting my sixth year as a principal this school year.

I love serving as a principal! My passion is developing positive relationships with everyone within the community, working with students as they grow, supporting teachers and staff to reach their greatest potential, strengthening a connection between school and home, and fostering a positive school culture. At our core, the school-to-home partnership allows us to provide an extraordinary school experience for all students. The Sparkman Community is a unique community of people who love and support their students. I desire to continue to build upon a legacy of integrity and greatness. Our goals will be achieved as we continue our three-year plan centered around Expectations, Exposure, and Excellence. I look forward to meeting each of you and learning how I can best support you throughout this year and many more.
